Mattas Marine & RV Dealership Tips
Tips from the Owners:
Greg says, "Get out there and use your boat or RV every weekend you can. The best days of a boat or RV owner, are Saturday and Sunday. Get the maximum use you can, while you can."
Brad says, "First, when you're not using your boat or RV, keep them under cover, to ensure they stay in the best condition possible. Second, use them as often as you can. When you let a boat or RV sit unused, you have the probability of the gas going bad, and an unused motor or generator can have unforeseen negative consequences. Third, always remember that routine maintenance is best performed at the end of the season, so the unit can be repaired and upkept, and is therefore ready to go out again at the beginning of the next season. Winterization is key, to keeping your boat and RV performing at it's best. Doing maintenance at the end of the season also means there's no rush to get things prepared or fixed when you want to take your unit out, and it will be ready when you are."
Tips from the Sales Team:
Bob A. says, "Don't forget the plug: A boat plug, is what keeps your boat afloat. Always ensure you put the plug in before you put your craft in the water, or you'll end up waterlogged, if not sunk." - Also, "Don't forget your key. It's never fun to get to your destination, and not be able to use your boat."
Tim says, "Remember to always use a 'V drive', or 'Straight Inboard' for surfing and wakeboarding, not an I/O (Inboard/Outboard). It is extremely unsafe to surf and wakeboard behind an I/O, as you are too close to the prop, and if you fall with momentum, you could severely injure yourself, or worse." - Also, "Do not ever unhook your boat at the top of the deployment ramp. It won't end well for you, or your vehicle."
Tips from the Title and Purchasing:
Beth says, "Always remember to take your Temporary Tag off of your boat trailer before you put it in the water. If you forget, you'll end up with a plastic bag of mush. We as a Dealer can only provide one Temp Tag, so keep it dry and safe, while you have fun in the water."
